Abstract

After the success of the First Call for Ideas, which saw the implementation of ten projects selected in the FCO smart city out of over 100 applications received from startups from all over the world, Aeroporti di Roma is now ready for the next step: to engage the second round of startups by investing total of 840.000 euros in their projects with the support of the mentors of the Innovation Cabin Crew aiming at a joint development for up to 8 months within the Innovation Hub at the Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport of Fiumicino.

Description

The business in which Aeroporti di Roma (AdR) operates has a major impact on the environment, which is why has been signed the 2030 decarbonization pact and they are constantly looking for new technologies that can help in the transition. With the support of Enel, AdR is looking for:

  • Digital solutions and platforms for end-to-end environmental and social sustainability scoring (e.g., value chain) of airport assets/activities/items;
  • Technologies that enable/improve electric mobility in the airport environment;
  • Solutions that optimize energy consumption and innovative/sustainable energy storage generation technologies.
