Giulia holds a degree in Economics from the University of Palermo, as well as a Master’s in Administration, Finance and Control from the LUISS School of Management.
She joined Enel in May 2003 as part of the internal auditing team, covering a wide range of roles.
From August 2008 to July 2013, she was Secretary to the Enel SpA Supervision Council pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/01, and from February 2011 to July 2013 she was Compliance Officer (ex Legislative Decree 231/01) for some companies in the Enel Group.
From February 2019 until April 2022, she was a member of the working team for the European laboratory projects related to climate-related reports and the development of potential non-financial reporting standards for the EU at EFRAG (European Financial Reporting Advisory Group) in Brussels. In May 2022 she became a member of the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group.
In September 2020, she was appointed to the Global Sustainability Standards Board at GRI (the Global Reporting Initiative).
She is currently working for Enel SpA as the Group's Head of Sustainability Planning, Performance Management and Human Rights. She is responsible for embedding Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues into business management through the definition and monitoring of the sustainability strategy at Group level. This is in addition to coordinating the sustainability planning and reporting processes in all the countries where Enel is present.
She is a Board member at Enel Americas (Chile), an energy company that generates, transports and distributes energy in four South American countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Peru, and three in Central America: Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama.
