Abstract

InfraChallenge 2021 invites applicants from around the world to pitch practical and scalable tech-based ideas for building and maintaining better, more resilient infrastructure. Organised by the GI Hub and supported in 2021 by the Italian G20 Presidency, the annual InfraChallenge competition is open to all industries across the globe.

Description

InfraChallenge is looking for practical and scalable tech-based ideas for building and maintaining better, more resilient infrastructure. Why? Resilient infrastructure lasts longer, carries lower whole-of-life costs, and often enhances sustainability and social value.

This year InfraChallenge is part of the 2021 Italian G20 Presidency infrastructure agenda, supporting the Presidency’s aim to promote quality infrastructure investment and transformative infrastructure responses, both to the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond the current crisis.

Applicants who participate in InfraChallenge 2021 will:

  •  pitch innovative solutions that improve the quality and resilience of new and/or existing infrastructure
  • share their ideas with a global audience and gain access to global networks
  • have the opportunity to receive mentoring from industry experts
  • have the opportunity to win the top prize of an AU$50,000 funding package to help implement their solution, as well as other prizes and support.

  • AU$50,000 funding package to implement the solution at scale

  • Global media coverage as the InfraChallenge 2021 winner
